This is a great post, and I wholly subscribe to the belief in mindset, passion and enthusiasm being critical drivers of success. 

I also agree with not showing up to throw up about one&#039;s company, the history, blah, blah, blah. That puts the focus entirely on the wrong place - it needs to be on the prospect and her situation first. 

One thing I would offer to strengthen what you suggest is the importance of being prepared - knowing the industry, doing homework to have at least a cursory understanding of the goals and challenges this prospect faces - not to make assumptions and come across as knowing-it-all, but rather to be relevant and in a position to ask better questions. Getting the prospect talking and opening up is critical to building trust.

Then, having the stories, as you suggest, takes that trust and credibility to an even higher place. 

Keep the good stuff coming, growing business!
